Job description:
As a Network Engineer at Cerebo, you will work with the latest technologies and leading technology vendors in the area of enterprise networking and security. You will be responsible for creating high and low level designs, performing proof-of-concepts, and implementing and managing our SD-WAN and SASE services for customers – this includes preparing monthly service reports and conducting monthly service review meetings. You will also provide 2nd and 3rd line support to our 24×7 support desk and be the connecting link to the support organization of our technology partners.
The network engineer is the technical point of contact for customers and responsible for all technical aspects of the customer relationship from beginning to end. It is an all-round position in the beginning, covering a broad range of engineering activities from design to support. However, there will be more specialization of engineering roles as the company grows and projects become larger and more complex. This offers you the opportunity to develop yourself in a specific role, or potentially take on a team lead responsibility.
You will be one of the first employees of the company and as such you are expected to help design and implement our operational systems and processes including those for network and security monitoring and management and ticketing. Service automation and AIOps are a strategic pillar of the company: if you have an interest in and experience with automation, scripting and/or software development, you certainly will find your challenge here!

- Location: remote, you will be working from home. Cerebo has a flexible office in Utrecht for in- or external meetings, or if you just want to be away from home for a change
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor degree or similar work and reasoning level
- Good technical knowledge of IT infrastructures
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in networking and security (routers, switches, firewalls)
- CCNA or similar industry certification
- Experience with customer interaction and good communication skills
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Service oriented and proactive attitude, self-starter
- Experience with automation, scripting, software development (e.g. Python, Ansible) is a plus
- Flexible working mentality, willing to work outside office hours and in standby-shifts
